Kleo by Her Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and the privacy of the girls our work is for. This policy explains how we collect, use, hold and disclose personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Who we are
Kleo by Her Pty Ltd (ABN 44 702 779 539) is a company based in Australia. We are building KLEO by her, a growing-up companion app for girls aged 8 to 14 and their parents. You can contact us at any time at contact@kleobyher.com.au.
What this policy covers
This policy covers our website, kleobyher.com.au. Our app is still in development and is not yet available to download. Before the app is released, we will update this policy to explain exactly what the app collects, why it needs it, and who can see it. Parents set up and manage the account; a girl's private space in the app stays hers.
What our website collects
Our website is a simple information site. It has no sign-up, no forms, no analytics and no advertising. We do not set cookies ourselves; our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary cookie for security.
Like almost every website, the servers that deliver our pages keep standard technical logs. These may include the IP address of the request, the date and time, the page requested and the type of browser used. Our hosting provider uses these logs to deliver the website and keep it secure. We do not use them to identify, track or profile visitors.
If you e-mail us, we receive your e-mail address and anything you choose to include in your message. We use this only to reply to you and to keep a record of our conversation. We do not add you to a mailing list.
Children's privacy
Children's privacy shapes everything we build. Our approach is:
- Parent-first. Parents set up and manage the account; a girl's private space in the app stays hers.
- No child free text. Our app is designed so that children are not asked to type free text about themselves, and we do not store it.
- Minimum data. We collect only the information the app needs to work, keep it for no longer than we need it, and do not sell personal information.
If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before you e-mail us.
Overseas disclosure
We may use service providers located outside Australia, for example to host our website or to send and receive e-mail. Where we do, we take reasonable steps to make sure they handle personal information in a way that is consistent with the APPs. Our service providers may store information in Australia, the United States and the European Union; we will publish the full list before the app launches.
How we keep information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We keep as little as we can, limit who can see it, and securely delete or de-identify it when we no longer need it.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, e-mail contact@kleobyher.com.au. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will respond within a reasonable time, and usually within 30 days. There is no charge for making a request.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please e-mail us first so we can try to put things right. We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

Changes to this policy
We will update this policy before the app launches, and from time to time after that. The effective date at the top of this page always shows the current version. If we make an important change, we will say so clearly on this website.
